When Human Free Will “Dissolves”

The pendulum swings.

Civilizations rise.

Then they crumble and fall.

War and disease may decimate us.

A ten-year view can be disturbing.

A century may seem chaotic.

But over many millennia there is steady evolutionary progress.

Left to our own inclinations,
and our essential human free will franchises,
our world would slowly and inevitably go into decline.

But every once in a while,
the valiant Guardians of the Half-way Realm,

Those they serve, and those who may serve them,
are permitted to coerce the natural flow of events,
without fuss, and
for a better outcome, when…

 Human Free Will must be “Dissolved.”
