Subject: “Fearing the Unknown”

Sandy: “Machiventa, do you have time to talk at this late hour?”

Machiventa: “Yes, always, and even at this early hour. I would like to talk this morning about fear of the unknown.

“I know there has been a spate of health scares with family, with friends, and also with yourself. And I'm not here to tell you, or anyone of your friends who may right now be praying for a miraculous healing for self or others that you, or they, are in any way being foolish, or that one is basically wasting one’s time in trying to change what cannot be changed.

“The opposite is true indeed, and with the expertise of your midwayer friends and closely associated morontia cherubim and others, much can be achieved at a physical, an emotional or even at intellectual level, and when the power of prayer prompts the grants and allows them to proceed with real action, to overcome what is falsely judged to be fate.

“The Creators instilled in all their higher creatures an ability to imagine what might well happen during their tomorrows. Additionally to this, the mortal creatures are ever engaged in a fight for survival, for this drive is ‘innately present’ in your very being. Therefore, it would be unnatural to not fear being harmed or to not fear the event of death, of self and of loved ones.

“To be human is to have fears of the vaguely unknown and the clearly imagined – one of the natural experiences of mortal life – together with the anticipation of more pleasant events that might lie ahead, including the seemingly impossible.

“And therefore to pray for a miracle is one of the ways of showing your utmost faith in your Creators’ boundless abilities. And, your showing of ‘a love for life’ for yourself and for others is incidentally also a sign of your preparedness for giving still more. It is proof of your conviction that you still have more to give, and that you are not ready to give up on the idea that by self-creation you are playing a minute but important part in God’s almighty creation. It remains your will to do God’s will.

“So, do not ever shrink away from fear. Claim it to be your birthright, and call out to Michael and to the Father that you are indeed fearful. It is only when you tell yourself that you have no fear that fear eats away and causes untold misery.

“Life is precious, for the Father meant it to be precious. I send my love to you – God’s children one and all.

Subject: “A New Way of Thinking”

Machiventa: “Much more can be accomplished in this, the Correcting Time, when we allow our minds to open, and we freely let new information in.

“Your dedicated and loving Teachers have taught you a multitude of core subjects, and indeed, these are truly worthy of being studied, time and time again.

“These past lessons taught are the basic teachings on which we build with new revelation, and in the trust that this will not be skipped over by our many mortal students, or that it may be deemed to be too outlandish to be acceptable, requiring too much thought to be comprehended, needing a super-human stretch of the imagination, and therefore soon forgotten.

“Your Teachers and Guides have their hands firmly tied when faced with minds that are closed to what is new, an unrealized desire to remain stagnant, a mental reference to what is old and therefore acceptable, unwisely barring all that is new.

“You are capable of advancing each moment in time, to leave behind the many wasted days, even years, that are spent in defending your personal opinions, “mindsets of granite-like hardness”, that will resist taking in the new.

“Our universes are growing, pulsating entities of their very own, forever pushing forward to allow for new ways of thinking and doing. And within our immediate realm there are many occupied planets so very much advanced over Urantia.

“Even now, compared to the vast majority in the local universe, your globe is still barbaric in nature with its wars of brother against brother raging on – mankind offering to destroy itself in this fight of nation against nation.

“Your Creator gave you the gift of an alert and discerning mind to constantly press into new intellectual territory of understanding, which is your prerogative, even duty, to explore.

“To continue to live each day in the mindset of old is to deprive yourself of advancement. Take time to absorb the lessons you are given and allow a new mindset to occupy its place – a new way of thinking and doing in response to “the little voice in your head”.

“Think about it. Get ready for the new.

“This is Machiventa, and I send my love to all who will hear my words.”

Subject: “Thy will be done”

Machiventa: “Good morning, Sandy and George. This is Machiventa.”

Both: “Good morning, Machiventa.”

Machiventa: “Today I would like to speak to all about “doing God’s Will”.

“We could well begin with the first line of the Lord’s Prayer, ‘Our Father Who art in Heaven. Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done…’

“There is so much worthwhile information and clear direction in that short statement. ‘Our Father’s will be done’ is not often viewed as an easy goal by many people on this, our beloved Urantia. We often hear the question, "What is God’s will for me?" To do His bidding can either be very complicated, or very simple, but it is always in relation to each person’s perception.

“Indeed, the walk towards perfection entails doing Father’s will on each and every day as you go about your routine tasks. One example of this would be of a poor and hungry mother of an infant, who is isolated from others, not having the opportunity to interact on a mature or spiritual level with her kind or kin. Her inborn instinct of lifting her baby to her breast to provide it with nourishment is the doing of our Father’s will. For her, at such a time, that is what it takes.

“Our Creator has instilled in us the ability to discern, even to recognize as if it were remembered, the right choice of the different paths that we might travel in our lifetime, and towards closer communion with Him. ‘Father’s will be done’ needs to be a main event in each person’s life, according to his or her individual abilities to contribute and progress.

“For many it means that they must first arrive at a certain age, or at a certain level of maturity, at a certain degree of wisdom, for it to be realized that the Father makes it easy, and puts these opportunities to contribute right in front of them. And it often means that by serving others as a way of life that the greatest rewards come to them, that they will grow as they impact on the lives of others in a positive way, as teachers or healers, as those that assist the fallen to get back upon their feet, and announce that God does care, as ever more His words become theirs.

“You are His children and He has created you all to be different, with different perceptions, different abilities, and different goals in your lives. Believe that you are capable of doing Father’s will. Believe that the small acts of kindness that you perform do indeed make a great difference in that needy person’s life, and, at the same time, create an immeasurable delight for “your Father which art in Heaven”.

“Let us always keep these messages short, and, hopefully, a “Seed of Truth” will be planted right now to help uplift a day in the life of a thoughtful brother or sister, who sincerely asks, "How can I do God’s will on this day?”

Subject: “Let Him into Your Life”

Received by Sandy Montee

Sandy: “Hello, Machiventa. I sense that you are near to us now.”

Machiventa: “Yes, I am here with you this evening. I have been extremely busy of late, and this has prevented me from stopping by, as you have been informed. However, we know you have been just fine these lazy summer days, as we are aware of all those who have knowledge of, and those who are actively engaged in some project in, this, the Correcting Time.”

Sandy: “I have been reading a very interesting book with the title, “Celestial Messages”. Again and again it impresses on us that we need to pray to God for His divine love. I know that we need to ask for a Celestial Teacher’s lesson, or a Midwayer’s help, but I thought the Father would simply read our minds to know that we always desire His love, like I do.”

Machiventa: “The Father has given you free will and this is both, your birthright as an independent person, as well as an obligation on your part to create spiritual progress in your life. And although your chosen path may well be a spiritual one, you still need to ask Him in definite terms just what it is that you desire to receive from Him.

“I understand it is very hard for mortals to know just what one needs to do, and how you need to tell your Creator of your desires, but if you think of God as a loving Parent you will realize that you can talk with Him, just as you would talk to your mortal parents.

“It is His deep-felt desire that you all come to Him in times of joy and peace, as well as in times of anguish and despair. The Father is your personal God and He wishes for you to tell Him what it is you need to progress in your spiritual journey. His helping Hand is always outstretched toward you, as It is toward all His children.

“Praise God for having given you this life, let Him into your life, and let Him walk with you throughout your days. As a Melchizedek Teacher and your Planetary Prince, I, and even Michael and Mother Spirit, do not wish for our mortal brothers and sisters to come to us with praise, instead of bestowing this praise upon our Father. God is the one to worship and sing your praises to, for He is the Creator of all there is, and He should always be held in the highest esteem. I work for Michael and Mother Spirit. They, in turn, work for the Father.

“Let me tell you now that at this time we are all working for peace on earth, and that we are truly struggling with the concept that men and women intend to once again take up arms to fight each other in these days. It is even more troubling to us that this may be done in the name of God, Who wants no more senseless slaughter.

“More times of war and atrocities perpetrated by sibling against sibling are ever so wrong for a planet that is trying to attain the first steps toward Light and Life. Let the Father into your life, as you ask Him for peace on earth.

“As one of your dear associates so often remarks, ‘May Peace Prevail’. I will leave you with these thoughts this evening.

“This is your brother, friend and teacher, Machiventa.”
