Subject: “The Acquisition of Wisdom”

Machiventa: “Hello Sandy, this is Machiventa. Today let us discuss the acquisition of Wisdom, and what it is that makes a man or woman wise.

“Contrary to the accepted beliefs of many, it is not the person who jumps into the middle of an argument, or tries to loudly tell others how to live their lives, who is blessed with great wisdom. The truly wise are short on advice, and altogether non-judgmental.

“The wise know within themselves that valuable experiences have taught them to be humble, and for them to wait for God to show them the right directions. A wise person has learned to listen attentively, and talk sparingly. These are people who draw others toward them, often by some innate quality that may be hard to define.

“To make sensible decisions, and to carry them through, requires a process of clear reasoning about the opportunity or the problem at hand, from beginning to end, and before a final decision is reached. A wise person always finds inner peace – that tranquility of the soul – and is never anxious to gain fame or fortune, but realizes that God has not placed them on this earth to tell others their opinions on anything.

“The ‘know it all attitude’ must wave a red flag of caution for you, in that the individual who brags is usually the one that you shouldn’t listen to, because their sole aim is to impress others with the cleverness and wisdom they do not really possess. The wise person knows it is usually God’s will that they say little and remain humble, which they truly are.

“Watch and listen and wait for the Creator to play His hand in whatever the task to be decided, or the project at hand. It is possible for men and women to acquire great wisdom in their earthly lifetimes here, and as you evolve into a more spiritual way of living, you will indeed pick up much wisdom along the road of mortal hardship and suffering. Ask Him to help you make your decisions, and learn from His eternal loving ways.

“Go forth you all, with the ‘insight of knowing’ that He will always have His input and that you have little to do but be aware of what He teaches with words of encouragement and kindness. Remember it is appropriate to only give advice when it is asked for, and for you to always let the other person steer his or her own craft upon these turbulent earthly seas.

“Follow always the example of Christ Michael, yes, and follow always in His footsteps by trusting that He will show you the way of doing the will of the Father. Take notice and learn from the many lessons of life, and listen for His words of wisdom to acquire wisdom.

Subject: "Talk To Others"

Sandy: “Hello, dear Machiventa.”

Machiventa: "I am here with you this morning. Let us do 'a writing' and I would like to stay here with you for a time.

"For many people on planet Earth it may seem that they are often taking one step forward, only to be pushed right back two whole steps or more. And for me it is easy to observe that plans made in all confidence do not always work out as one might wish. Yes, there are many troubled lives, daily engaged in the basic fight for survival.

"The vast majority of you must get on the treadmill each morning, and just to keep the bread on the table for the family takes up most of your working day. It is not an easy life, and I know it is hard for some to even believe that there is a Creator Father, who is on your side, and who wishes only the best for you.

"At times, the business of living can involve so much stress, it becomes difficult to even stay in any kind of 'spiritual mode'. And when darkness may loom ahead, it can become difficult to perceive that glimmer of Light that is your God showing you the way. He is persuading you to come closer to Him, and His light will then soon overcome the darkness.

"Trust that He is that quiet, soft voice you hear, encouraging you, and giving you the chance to travel a much easier, and satisfying path. He will provide you with the strength to overcome the obstacles of the ordinary life of the ordinary man and woman. And you will then discover yourself to be coming out through the maze, finding yourself closer to your heavenly Father.

"To blindly believe in the existence of your God, without seeing any tangible evidence of His presence, is a test of faith to equal no other on the absolute majority of planets, and it is so to the degree that life here on this earth is still considered to be in the shadows of great darkness.

"As His children, your doting Creator Father asks you to warm yourselves in the sunshine of the Light he brings you, and for you to allow everyone you meet into your circle of warmth and hope. Talk to others about the desire of their God to be recognized by them as being their loving Father.

"This is a short message today, for you to find 'the gems for thought'.

"I am Machiventa."

Subject: “…And End In His Presence.”

Received by Sandy Montee

Machiventa: “I am right here with you, Sandy. It was with much pleasure that I watched you fall in love with your great-grandson the instant you first saw him. I congratulate you on this event, and I know your heart is filled with this new blessing God has given you.

“These are among the special times when the Creator looks down upon his human parents with great love, and Mother Spirit holds the children of Her children in extraordinary care. For you - with your eldest grandson away at war and in harm’s way - as for many persons in these difficult, uncertain days, the emotions are deeply stirred.

“Take comfort, all, in the knowledge that the Father does hear your prayers, and that He cares for all your loved ones, even more than you can.

“The different ‘seasons of your lives’ as you live them in your mortal years will, if you accept this, instill in you an impressive wisdom, much grace, and great tranquility. So many earthly lessons can be learned in your eagerness to boldly experience life in its fullness. I must say, I have watched a great many of you make countless mistakes, but it is through these errors that the most valuable lessons are learned for this life, and for your futures far beyond.

“This is so true for all lives on planet Earth.

“Once you gather the strength to accept and endure, it brings with it a much greater understanding of the purposes of your earthly being. Life is your most important teacher, and this teacher’s lessons represent soul growth. The Creator Fragment within you is then also progressing and advancing at the speed you allow It to advance. To embrace and welcome your circumstances as life ‘measures them out to you’ is the will of God.

“He lives in and through all creation on Urantia (Earth), and sends you many teachers, many angels, and it is to your great benefit, if you will recognize the fact that they surround you, and for you to learn to stay in conscious contact with all the help He sends. Your journeys of learning begin with the Father, and will end by your arriving in His glorious presence.

“I will now take my leave, and send my love to all.

“This is Machiventa Melchizedek.”

Note: Such a miracle is a newborn baby, especially when God has entrusted you with the responsibility of being a part of his life. A new beginning for me, as I hold and love a new little person whom I would like to protect from the harsh realities of life. As a grandparent, I am allowed to be in this child’s life as the person who can tell him that his life is precious, and with all the unconditional love I give him, I can instill in him the truth - that he is a special child of God. Thank you God for giving my family and me this new little bundle of joy… Sandy

Subject: “Merely The Footings.”

Machiventa: “Good morning, Sandy. This is your friend and teacher, Machiventa.

“I am also sending greetings today from the group of midwayers that came to visit with you of late. As you know, we have sent Char [see note below] to be with you, and she will greatly respect you for your inquiring about her knowledge in her area of extraordinary expertise.

“Today I would like to talk about living up to your potentials. As most people on this planet think about doing as much as possible, to be as much as they can be, they portray in their minds a life of a rather hectic pace, and getting as many things done as they possible can get done. I would like to speak today about the very opposite.

“I observe life on Urantia to be far too busy, and I know that many folks would benefit from slowing down, and with a clear realization of the aspects of their lives that are most important to them, and whereby they can more successfully live up to their greatest potential.

“As we slow ourselves down, we can more sincerely contemplate our values, our hopes and dreams. And we will often find it may not be a situation of us doing more, but instead a case of doing a little less. For many this is true during their entire lives - their having difficulties relaxing and ‘staying in the one spot’ for long enough to think something through.

“We profess that your relationship with God, your time set aside for God, is the most important event to take place in your day, for you to go into Stillness, for you to pray, and to then listen for the ‘word of God’.

“To do this Stillness each day is of the utmost importance for your being able to separate out the most worthy tasks of endeavor, such as enhancing your spiritual advancement. To simply relax and ask God to be with you is very important as you sort through your values, which include building character at the soul level.

“To spend this time in communication with your Creator, reflects your appreciation for His creation, His ‘rightness’ in giving you life, and helping you at each turn in the road as you progress to the utmost understanding of your true purpose in life.

“Your lifetimes on Urantia, indeed, cover little more than a blink of the eye of time, compared to the ages you will spend in ascension toward Paradise. The purpose of your lives here merely represents the preparation of the footings for the foundations of your eternal careers, and it must be done with much care, measurement, and with forethought about how you will pour the ‘foundations’ and build the ‘bastions’ of your eternal futures.

“I would like for you to consider this process of slowing down, and becoming more aware of why you are blessed with this life as you know it. As you contemplate slowing down, and begin to act upon our recommendation of regular Stillness, you will begin to live up to your potentials as spiritual beings, and many other aspects of living will then naturally fall into place.

“Your God is the Creator, the Father of all there is, and also your inner voice and your Helpmate upon this path you have chosen. He will show you your purpose as you become aware of a journey filled with meaningful enlightenment.

“I am Machiventa Melchizedek, and I wish you a good day.”

Note: “Char” (919, or 9:19) is only a recent midwayer arrival - not a native of this planet. Char’s much appreciated expertise is in the area of health, diet, medicine, and day-to-day organization. The term “charwoman” comes to mind.
